FAQ

What is DTF? (Explain Like I'm 5 Years Old)

DTF is how we print pictures onto a special sheet of paper. We use a cool printer to make sure the colors are super bright. Then, we sprinkle some magic powder on it so it can stick to t-shirts and other things like bags or hats. At SwiftDTF, we help people by printing their designs. We work with everyone—from people making their own t-shirts to selling cool stuff. We make sure the designs look great so everyone can create awesome things!

General T-Shirt Printing Questions

1. Where can I find the designs for my shirts?
You can either upload your own custom design or browse through pre-made designs on our website. If you need help, we can also provide recommendations based on your theme or style.

2. I have a design in my mind but I don’t have any tools. Can you help?
Yes, we can! If you have a concept but no design tools, just reach out to us. We can help you bring your idea to life by working with you to create a custom design that fits your vision. Let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll take care of the rest.

3. What software do you use to make custom designs so I can make mine and send them to you for printing?
We accept designs made in software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva. If you're using something like Canva, just make sure to download your design in PNG format with a transparent background for the best results!

4. Does the design have to be a certain format?
Yes, we recommend using high-resolution PNG or vector files for the best print quality. Other formats like JPG and PDF work too, but ensuring the resolution is at least 300 DPI will give you the sharpest results.

Specific T-Shirt Printing and Transfer Questions

5. How do you know how big your design should be for the size shirt you want to make?
The design size depends on the shirt size. A good general rule is 8-10 inches wide for adult shirts, 6-8 inches for youth shirts, and 4-6 inches for toddler shirts.

6. Is this ink or vinyl?
This is ink! With DTF printing, we use specialized inks that are printed onto a film and then transferred onto fabric. Unlike vinyl, which can feel thicker, DTF prints are lighter and more flexible.

7. I have some big prints and want to know if it will feel like plastic. Is it soft or light hand feel?
Our transfers are made to feel soft and light. They won't have the stiff plastic feel some prints have, so you get both quality and comfort.

8. How is the texture of the print quality?
Our transfers are designed to have a soft, light hand feel, so they won't feel like plastic. They are flexible and comfortable on fabric, providing a high-quality finish that feels great to the touch.

9. What if you don’t have an industrial iron? Would a regular hand iron work?
For the best results, we recommend using a heat press, as it provides consistent pressure and heat. While a regular hand iron can work in a pinch, it’s harder to ensure an even transfer and the same durability.
